UGC NET, NEET Ph.D., JNU Entrance Exam Postponed
In the latest update regarding the entrance examinations to be conducted in the upcoming months, the ministry of human resource and development has decided to postpone various examinations such as UGC NET, PhD, JNU, NEET, TTE, etc keeping in mind the ongoing situation.
In an official statement released by the Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the National Testing Agency responsible for receiving applications and conducting entrance exams has been directed to postpone the last date for submission of applications. The online applications for exams such as JNU entrance, UGC NET, IGNOU PhD, ICAR exam, NCHM-G and management courses have been postponed by one month.
The ministry has advised CBSE, NTA and NIOS to prepare a revised schedule of exams. In order to maintain social distancing and prevent the risk of coronavirus, CBSE board exams, NEET, JEE and other exams have already been postponed.
The entrance examinations are conducted all over India with lakhs of students participating to get admission in various courses. In order to conduct such exams, the agencies need to be fully prepared and vigilant. With the prevalent situation, it is not possible to conduct the exams for the benefit of students and the country.
The last date to submit the applications for entrance examinations such as NCHM JEE-2020, UGC-NET, CSIR, AIAPGET-2020, ICAR-2020 etc has also extended further. Students are advised to remain calm and follow the website for latest updates.
The revised dates of exams as follows:
1. National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) JEE – 30 Apr 20
2. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Admission Test – 2020 For Ph. D. And Open Mat (MBA) – 30 Apr 20
3. Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) – 30 Apr 20
4. Jawaharla Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) – 30 Apr 20
5. UGC – National Eligibility Test (UGC – NET) – June – 15 May 20
6. National Eligibility Test (CSIR – NET)- June – 16 May 20
7. All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) – 2020 – 31 May 20
The detailed schedule for various examinations mentioning revised dates of downloading of Admit Cards and of Examination will be displayed separately on respective examination website(s) and www.nta.ac.in, after assessment of the situation after 15.04.2020 only.The Submission of Online Application Forms will be accepted upto 04.00 PM and submission of fee upto 11.50 PM.
