UPSC Civil Services Prelims  2020 Exam Postponed


UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 Exam Deferred-  The Union Public Service Commission has declared on the official website pib.gov.in that the Civil Services Prelims examination has been postponed due to COVID-19 and extended lock down.





The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2020 was earlier scheduled to take place on 31 May 2020, but now its deferred.


UPSC has not declared the new dates on which the exam will be conducted, but it is likely that the news regarding the new schedule will be declared once the COVID-19 situation comes under control. You can check the official announcement by UPSC given below-



The Commission has already deferred the following:


(a) Personality test for remaining candidates for the Civil Services Examination, 2019. (b) Notification for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020.


(c) Notification for the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2020.


(d) Notification for the Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2020.


(e) the NDA & Naval Academy Examination, 2020.


The situation will be reviewed again and the new exam dates will be announced on the UPSC official website @upsc.gov.in as situation changes.
